Data Scientist (M/F)

Position Summary :

As a Data Scientist at AVICEN you will be a part of new product features from conception through deployment. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of statistics and your analytical skills to mine data at scale and develop large-scale Machine Learning (ML) models to reveal customer value in data. You will support feature prototyping, and utilize industry best practices to write production-grade code. You will build data pipelines, implement ML-based analytical algorithms, and work closely with our software development team to set up back-end systems and interfaces that will deliver the next-generation analytics.

Responsibilities :

• Writing or modifying big data pipelines to process and mine historical time-series data

• Providing data insight from massive amounts of data using data cleaning, data visualization, and statistical analysis tools and techniques

• Prototyping and validating advanced ML and Deep Learning (DL) models and algorithms that transform big data into actionable information

• Setting up and maintaining databases supporting analytics research and feature prototyping

• Writing production code to deliver analytics feature content as an Internet-of-Things (IoT) solution

Education / Certification Requirements :

• An advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D) in Computer Science (CS), Electrical Engineering (EE), Operation Research (OR) and optimization, physics, applied mathematics, or a comparable analytical field from an accredited institution –OR—Bachelors degree plus 5 years of relevant industry experience.

• 5+ years experience or demonstrated fluency with python and at least one other programming language (Scala, Java, C/C++/C# a plus)

• Expert in data mining, machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling and data visualization techniques using data-oriented tools and languages such Python, R, and MATLAB

• 2+ years experience writing SQL-like as well as NoSql queries and databases

• Experience dealing with large amounts of unstructured data (experience with GIS data is a bonus)

• Experience setting up and using large-scale distributed data-processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Hadoop Map-Reduce

• Experience working with enterprise-grade cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS

• Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality code adhering to industry best practices (i.e., code review, unit tests, revision control)

• Experience designing experiments and collecting data for the purpose of deriving data analytics insights and solutions

• Understanding of error propagation and the limitations of data subject to measurement uncertainties

Director Account (M/F)

Position Summary :

Responsible for profitability for a specific group of accounts and represents AVICEN at the community level. S/he is also the managing executive of the market on non-functional issues. The senior account person with responsibility for direct supervision of all group account service staff as well as responsibility for one or more accounts. Manages Client relationships and resolves functional conflicts through consultation with regional function heads. The Account Director is the person to whom the account supervisor and account executives look for support, guidance, and counsel.

Responsibilities :

• Accountable for customer’s overall success; Act as the main point of contact throughout the customer’s lifecycle

• Develop strong relationships with key customer contacts (executive and operational) in order to achieve a trusted-advisor status

• Own and manage all aspects of the customer relationship including onboarding new clients, training, relationship development, issue resolution and contract management, working closely with Engineering, Marketing and Support Teams.

• Manage the project schedules, timelines and budget and ensure that the customer’s needs are met in accordance with these plans

• Maximize upsell and cross-sell opportunities with the customer

• Provide operational support to ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded; Ensure on-site customer meetings at-least once a month with each key account

• Collaborate and support other internal and customer-facing initiatives to ensure that service levels are maintained at highest possible levels

• Maintain key account plans; Provide internal stakeholders and customers with regular status reports

Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of progressive work experience in account management, business development or customer success selling to technology companies

• Experience managing and growing SaaS revenue in B2B businesses

• Understanding of platform sales, how developers think and strong knowledge of operational and business processes for telecommunications industry

• Knowledge and experience with Scrum (agile software development framework) & Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence, hardware a plus

• Demonstrated ability to discuss bigger picture, talk architecture & solutions as well as overall business goals, while digging into the details when required

• Demonstrated success of managing multiple customers with ability to work across at all levels of a customer or partner organization

• Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, organize, and operate in a fast moving, entrepreneurial start-up environment

• Comfortable managing the contracts and negotiations process within various stakeholders (e.g. customer, procurement, and finance)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in and French and English, Spanish or Farsi is a plus

• Willingness and comfort with travel to customer sites, as required

• Bachelor’s Degree (and Master’s degree preferred) in business, statistics, or engineering

• EU citizen or work permit required; Relocation within EU available
