What you want to know before starting

Is Avicen a medical device?

No. Avicen is a document-analysis and case-review tool. It does not diagnose and makes no treatment recommendations. Your conclusions remain your own.

Where is the data hosted?

With Exoscale, an HDS-certified host. Your data stays in Switzerland if you practice there, otherwise in your country of practice or in the EU. Encrypted in transit and at rest. Unlike consumer tools, no third-party model provider ever sees your data: processing runs on our dedicated GPUs.

Is it compatible with medical secrecy?

Yes. You remain the sole custodian of the case. Avicen acts as a GDPR processor, on documented instruction, with no third-party access. All personnel are bound by confidentiality.

Is my data used to train a model?

Never. No client or patient data is ever used to train any model. Your cases remain your property.

What do I need to start the free evaluation?

Nothing sensitive. No patient data is needed to begin: a 30-minute call scopes one of your cases, then the 14-day evaluation starts. For the evaluation itself you can bring an anonymized or pseudonymized case, and a data processing agreement (DPA) covers any data you entrust to us.

Does Avicen write the report for me?

Avicen generates summaries, syntheses, chronologies and customizable structured reports, with every statement linked to its source. You verify, adjust, then write and sign your conclusions: the assignment remains personally performed.

Can several experts work on the same case?

Yes. Complex assessments are often multidisciplinary, and Avicen is built for that: the case is shared in a common workspace, with role-based access control and comments. Each expert sees exactly what they are allowed to see, and every action is logged.

My files are old, scanned, handwritten. Is that a problem?

No. Scanned PDFs, old faxes, handwritten notes, spreadsheets, DICOM imaging, audio dictations, documents in more than 110 languages: the case is processed exactly as it arrives, with no preparation on your side.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is per page processed: no feature gates, no per-user fees. The 14-day evaluation is free and without commitment; you then receive a written quote sized to your case volume.

What happens at the end of the 14 days?

You decide. Without a subscription, your data is deleted or returned. Subscription terms are provided in a written quote.
